FIBER WAVE- II Dubai2009 project

FIBER WAVE was commissioned to be installed in the residential entrance area of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building in Dubai.

Since the space is large but not outdoors, instead of FIBER WAVE swaying by natural wind, FIBER WAVE-II driven by artificial wind was selected.
Sunlight charging is not possible, and the space is generally bright, so the LED at the tip is not used.
Because artificial wind is weaker than natural wind, the cross-section was made flat elliptical instead of circular to get sufficient sway.

A prototype was created; however, this project was not ultimately realized. One reason may have been that the ripple effects of the global financial crisis hit Dubai around that time, but this has not been confirmed.
If so, it would mean that the Financial Wave has wiped out the FIBER WAVE.

Originally, FW-II was programmed to collect data on the “wind” around the world at that moment from the web.
The wind was not limited to actual wind, but could also be set to select winds blowing on Jupiter or fluctuations in exchange rates, and so on.
Indeed, the winds of finance were also blowing at that place.
If those winds of finance blew away Dubai FW, it might be “That just FW wants".

Had this FW been completed, residents here would have been swimming in a sea of golden waves, every morning and evening.
